We will be riding to Grand Marais for an overnight! 

Ride Options 

#1  Start at Kamview Chalet (approx 120km)

#2  Start at the Casino in Grand Portage (approx 60km)

We will spend the night in Grand Marais and then ride back in the morning. 

We have reserved hotel rooms, which you must book yourself if you're coming. You must also make sure you have out of country medical insurance.

We will arrange for someone to drive down and take our overnight bags.

Time Trial: Lakeshore Drive 16k

Race Name:  Lakeshore Drive            Distance (Km): approx 16k

Sign-up 6:00-6:15      Start : 6:30 pm

Format: 1 way, return is leisure or group ride back              

Start: Just past Bear Point water plant road beside the Township of Shuniah sign

Finish: at end of Lakeshore.

Parking: Rolling flat course with good paved shoulder.

Crit#1. Mapleward Landfill Site 10:00am

Come on out to landfill paved loop, approx 950m of smooth pavement with nice sweeping turns. 

Sweep and set up starts at 9:30. bring a broom and help set up. 

sign up, pre ride warm up 9:45-10:15 approx. with maurenn at site no fees, refreshments to follow.

Cat 3-4, & ladies start at 10:15 (25min +5 loops to finish, maureen to determine on size and calibre). if alot of cat 3-4 we may split but that is go time decision so prepare to race at 10:15.

Cat 2, start at approx 11:00, (35 min +5 loops)  be ready to go at 11:00. 

Cat 1, start  at approx 11:45 (40min + 5 loops) be ready to start at 11:45. 

parking in front of admin building or gravel road just south of main entry, do not block the main gate entry or park on maple ward. 

show up early and help set up and race (ie cat 3-4) show up late and help take down, clean up (ie cat 1-2) :)

it is great plce to practice your turns/speed/bike handling in stress free clean area. 

note : we have never had issue with dump smell's (wind i guess) see you there.

Description: Traditonal 15 km out and back on Oliver road. Good pavement but traffic can be heavy sometimes.Be careful with turn around on Oliver

Race Name: Hymers Classic         

Distance (Km): Cat 3 (48 km) Cat 2 (64 km) Cat 1 (79 km)

Format:  Standard Road Race  

Start: Beside Norwester Arena on Hwy 588.

Finish: at top of hill opposite arena parking lot. 

Parking: Norwester Arena Parking Lot

Description: ALL CATEGORIES: Neutral down Hwy 11/17 through Kakbeka. Race begins with left turn onto Hwy 590 followed by a left onto Hwy 585. Proceed through Hymers to intersection with Hwy 588. ALL RACERS MUST COME TO COMPLETE FOOT DOWN STOP AT STOP SIGN. Left onto Hwy 588 at stop sign. Proceed to down Hwy 588 then turn right onto Barrie Drive (careful here as it sneaks up on you). Follow Barrie Drive then left onto River Road. Follow River Rd to the bridge across the Kam.   

Cat 3 turn RIGHT and go up the hill to the finish by the arena

Cat 2 Continue straight and complete ONE Barrie loop (up the hill, left on Barrie Drive, Left on River Rd) THEN turn right across the bridge and finish at the top of the hill by the arena 

Cat 1 Continue straight and complete TWO Barrie loops (up the hill, left on Barrie Drive, Left on River Rd twice) THEN turn right across the bridge and finish at the top of the hill by the arena

Membership is the same price as last year.  All registrations must be done on-line.  In order to register as a member for the 2018 season simply click on the Membership tab at the top of the TBCC Home Page and then Register with TBCC. Follow the instructions and the links to the CCN site.  

Your executive is busy planning events for 2018 and once the schedule is finalized the events will be posted on the calendar.  Our Fat Bike schedule is already on the February and March calendars!

OCA MEMBERS from OTHER CLUBS in Ontario

I) TBCC can allow OCA members, who are not a member of our club, to participate in our activities, provided it is on an occasional basis and the rider agrees to participate under the our club rules.  

A visiting OCA member from out of town may be permitted to participate in our club’s events at our discretion.   They must show proof of their membership and insurance with the OCA by showing an Affiliate Club membership card, UCI Licence. Anyone not able to show this type of proof will not be able to participate until they can provide this proof.
