Touring Ride Program Objective
To encourage people in our community to come out and ride routes casually on rural roads. Rides will be no longer than 70K and at a maximum pace of 25 km per hour with the average speed being lower. Riders will have a choice of riding in a slower group and shorter distance. No rider will be dropped to ride on their own. All groups will have a volunteer leader with experience in group riding. Groups shall be 8 to 10 people maximum depending on turnout for the day.
Ride Dates, Start Times and Location
The tour rides will be on Sundays beginning June 2nd and ending August 25, 2019. Starting times to vary between 9:00 - 10:00 am. Check the main schedule on the TBCC website for start location . Ride cancellations due to poor weather will be published on the Facebook page the morning of the event.
The lead riders will be required for each ride. The number required will be determined by the turn out.
You must be a member of the Thunder Bay Cycling Club.

What Should I Bring?
You need to bring proof of membership with you on your first ride. Helmets are mandatory for all rides. You should carry a water bottle and spare tube in case you get a flat - even if you can't change it yourself, someone can help you. The duration of these rides will be 2- 4 hours. There will be stops to rehydrate and to eat healthy snacks to keep you going .
Tour Ride #1 Boulevard Lake to Lambert Island Bridge/Return, 40km Ride to Fire Hall at end of Lakeshore Dr.
Tour rolls out at 10:00 am. Meet at Boulevard Lake Parking Lot by the Mini Golf.
