Women's Only Rides
To encourage women in our community to come out and ride with other women. Routes will be on paved roads, so you can ride your road bike, hybrid or mountain bike.
Our target group is the beginner and intermediate cyclist, although more experienced cyclists are welcome to join in.
Your tour leaders are Holly O'Keefe and Sally Dampier with other members of the club helping out.
We will ride on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evening of each month, starting May 6th, 2020. Check this web page or the TBCC hotline (626-8725) for schedule changes.
Start Times and Location
Start locations will change for each ride so check the Women's 2020 Ride Schedule often. Rides will start at 6:15 pm. SHARP!!
There will be three distances each week to choose from. We ride together in groups according to your ability. Our short rides are approximately 20km, longer rides vary from 30 - 50 km. There will be "sweepers" to make sure the slowest riders in each group make it back safely.
The lead riders, sweepers and sag driver are all volunteer positions that only take a small commitment. If you are willing to fill one of these important roles please check the VOLUNTEER SIGN UP LIST. You must be a member of the Thunder Bay Cycling Club, so if you aren't already, you can join. A single membership for the season costs $78.
For insurance purposes, you must be signed up and paid before you can ride with us. Please use the register button on the TBayCC homepage.
What Should I Bring?
You need to bring proof of membership with you on your first ride. Helmets are mandatory for all rides. You should carry a water bottle and spare tube in case you get a flat - even if you can't change it yourself, someone can help you. A sag vehicle will be following the riders for all rides.

Women members are invited to join us for our 10th annual 100km Challenge on Saturday, August 22nd.
